What Is Txchnologist?

Txchnologist is an online magazine sponsored by GE. Every week, we offer an optimistic, but not utopian, take on the future and humanity’s ability to tackle the great challenges of our era through industry, technology and ingenuity.

We cover science and technology with an eye toward what is possible now and what will be tomorrow in renewable energy, transportation, infrastructure, artificial intelligence and other topics. Txchnologist will offer a blend of stories and visuals that communicate the ideas that will shape societies, from the developing world to our frenetic and growing cities.

Txchnologist, while sponsored by GE, takes a broader look at the world of science and technology. The stories and opinions do not necessarily reflect the views of the company.

We hope you’ll join the conversation in the comments section and share our stories on Twitter, Facebook, or Google Plus.

This is a very interesting site. Despite it being “presented by General Electric”, I hope that this can become a forum for considered, non-partisan discussion surrounding important scientific and technological issues. Who know, perhaps this might help bring some more good things to life!

      Thanks for your comment, Adam.
We aspire to the highest standards of journalism. Part of that is being transparent about who sponsors the site. I think you’ll find that we are interested in open debate of issues and technology.

Love your Vol 01, look forward to vol 02 next week.

I am wondering if we can subscribe to the magazine, in order to get a weekely reminder to visit the site and a preview of articles to help us decide if we must “see it now!” or wait.

It would really be helpful, at least for me.

Wishing you many years of publication!

Interesting.. I am guessing the articles will be about what GE is doing in this space. If so thats great but will it lead to some dialog between how GE sees things versus how society may see it., to be determined.
I look forward to this being more than a glorified infomercial and or a way to manage SEO/SEM marketing efforts.
Will continue to check it out until it becomes clear that it is a infomercial.

Why “txchnologist” – what’s the deal with the “x”?

    Otherwise… interesting site. Thanks.

    • Matthew Van Dusen

      The “X” makes us edgy!

  19. Ed Smith

Great site to discover, Hopefully it continues to neutral and a valuable forum for advanced concepts and technology. The X is a bit strange but many times so are futuristic concepts.

  20. Bruce Fulmer

I would appreciate an on-line subscription if available.
    Thanks
