Supernova Remnant Tycho

Supernova Remnant Tycho

This composite image of the remnants of an explosion of a white dwarf in our galaxy was captured by the Chandra X-ray observatory produced by an explosion. The white dwarf was located in the constellation Cassiopeia about 13,000 light years away from Earth. It is one of only a few supernovae visible to the naked eye.
